Last week around 600 industry leaders convened in Miami at CFSI’s 5th annual Underbanked Financial Services Forum. It was hot, and not just outside.
CFSI’s founder and director, Jennifer Tescher, started the conference by inviting participants to complete the sentence, “in the future the underbanked marketplace will…” with a sharpie on square buttons. I wrote “…be tiny” on mine, but was too embarrassed to wear it. Others wrote so much I didn’t want to appear rude reading it pinned to their chest, so didn’t. So, after the fact, our super summer associate from Wharton, Ailian Gan, and I will select and comment on some key take-aways from the event in a series of blog posts here. Each will answer the question, above. We’ll post one each day or two for as long as we’re inspired. I welcome your reactions and ideas via twitter using “#underbanked.”
